Elkosta team not sitting
on the fence
A team of seven from Elkosta (UK)
Ltd, the security fencing and gates manufacturers based
in Bishops Hull in Taunton, put their money where their
mouth was on Sunday 6th July, when they abseiled down
the walls of Drogo Castle in aid of Cancer Research
UK. Only one of them had ever abseiled before and most
of them are frightened of heights – ‘but
hey, it’s in aid of cancer research, so what the
heck’ as one of them put it.
Together and with the support of
family & friends, clients and suppliers they raised
over £1300 for the charity and would like to thank
everyone who supported them. Overall Cancer Research
UK raised over £16000 on the day, which was £7000
more than they had anticipated. |

The day was such a success;
they are already planning what they will be doing next year.
As long as it is challenging and for a good cause, almost
anything is being considered – although ‘parachute
and bungy jumps may be excluded from the list on health &
safety grounds! At least that’s my excuse’ said
David Dundas, who organised Elkosta’s involvement in
the Drogo Dangle
