SUE ASKS THE FCA FOR HELP

GLOBAL CHALLENGE 2004 -2005

THE WORLD’S TOUGHEST ROUND THE WORLD YACHT RACE

London based Sue Lyons recently spoke with Shaun McGarry (Finance Manager of Calders & Grandidge) who suggested she contacted the FCA for help. Sue has been accepted as a core crew member for the 2004 – 2005 Global Challenge which is the World’s toughest round the world yacht race. The voyage is set to take ten months to complete and involves sailing the opposite way round the world against the prevailing winds.

To undertake this venture Sue needs to raise £26,750.00 and has quite a way to go before achieving her required target.

Wendy Baker (Chief Executive) was quick to respond to a letter Sue wrote to the FCA requesting help and has made a donation on behalf of the Association.
