Fencing Company’s based in Wales could save up to 80% on training costs

Save up to 80% on your training costs

Are you struggling to find the right courses to train your staff? Are all the courses too far away from your business? Do you need to get FISS/CSCS cards for your business to work on site? If these are just some of the questions you’re asking, then a new fencing training programme in Wales can provide the answers and support you with funding to help you get the right training you need.

The programme has been developed to provide training in Wales and will financially contribute towards training staff to NVQ level 2/3 in order to get their FISS/CSCS cards and support businesses to develop in-company NVQ assessors to help with the cost of future training.

Funded by the Welsh Assembly Government and managed in partnership by Lantra, the Sector Skills Council for the environmental and land-based sector and the Fencing Contractors Association Ltd, the project will support the development of 12 in-company assessors and train 30 installers.

Tim Drew, National Training Manager with the Fencing Contractors Association Ltd (FCA) said: “Any fencing business interested in taking advantage of the funding should register their interest with the FCA by the end of July. It’s a great opportunity for businesses to save up to 80% of their training costs and for the first time they will be able to access the training in Wales through the FCA Training & Assessment Centre.”

Richard Thomas, Regional Partnership Manager for Lantra added: “Through the Sector Skills Agreement for the fencing industry, this funding has been made available to meet some of the skills gaps highlighted in our research and is a positive start to ensuring that training meets the needs of industry.”

For more information on how you can access the funding please contact Tim Drew, National Training Manager for the Fencing Contractors Association Ltd on 07917 082 871 or on 07000 560722.
